JOB CONTEXT

Perovskites solar cells is the rising star of photovoltaics with great promises ahead, especially in their association with silicon solar cells to create tandem PV modules exceeding standard PV module expected efficiency limit (~25%).
Nonetheless, perovskites solar cells and modules do not meet yet the requirements of stability and reliability, especially when compared and/or associated with silicon solar cells. Research institutes are working hard on developing stability and reliability protocols enabling the assessment of perovskite-based devices long term performance. Indoor performance analysis of perovskite-based devices developed at IPVF is a crucial step for their future deployment by industrials.

 

 

MAIN MISSIONS

The mission of the internship is to participate in the reliability activities carried out at IPVF, by carrying out a benchmark of the performances on different solar cells technologies (perovskite, OPV, a-Si) for indoor applications.

The tasks to be performed during this internship are:

  • Make a state of the art on the PV application for indoor applications.
  • carry out electrical and optical characterizations on solar cells/modules.
  • Study the effect of light intensity and spectrum composition on solar cell behavior.
  • Establish measurement protocols for these different types of cells according to the incident light.

  • Previous experience in photovoltaics device fabrication and characterization is a plus
