This week took place the first General Assembly of the EU-funded TRIUMPH project in IMEC, Leuven. Really glad to kick-off this great project with the best in-class RTOs, Universities and Industries.
TRIUMPH (‘Triple junction solar modules based on perovskites and silicon for high performance, low-cost and small environmental footprint’) is a 3.5 years project funded by the European Commission aiming at paving the way for a future PV cell technology, based on an advanced triple junction cell concept.
The devices will be based on perovskites for the middle and top cells and silicon for the bottom cell. The consortium, coordinated by IMEC in Belgium, consists of european partners from both research institutions (IMEC, Fraunhofer ISE, CSEM, TNO, Freiburg University, EPFL) and industries (Hanwha Q CELLS, Von Ardenne, Dyenamo, SALD, RENA).
IPVF is one of the work package leader of the project, and is involved in activities such as reliability, characterization, modeling, techno-economic and environmental assessment.
