The IPVF PhD day was again a great occasion to get a broad view on the richness of the research being carried out at IPVF.

Research topics and corresponding presentations covered many aspects of the PV value chain, including the life cycle analysis assessment of emerging PV technologies; the development of perovskite solar cells with the detailed characterization of their stability via machine learning and AI modelling, the research of low cost approaches for producing III-V materials, and the use of ALD processes for the passivation of GaAs thin films or the encapsulation of perovskite solar cells.

The afternoon finished with a lively discussion about “the after PhD” and the various options to be explored.
