Les cellules solaires ultra-minces atteignent un rendement record de près de 20%

Les chercheurs du Centre de Nanosciences et de Nanotechnologies (C2N) associés à l’Institut Photovoltaïque d’Ile-de-France (IPVF), en collaboration notamment avec les chercheurs du Fraunhofer ISE Allemand, ont réussi à piéger efficacement la lumière du soleil dans une cellule solaire grâce à une couche ultra-fine absorbante en GaAs d’une épaisseur de 205 nm sur un miroir arrière nanostructura. Ultrathin solar cells reach a record of nearly 20% efficiency

Researchers at the Centre de Nanosciences et de Nanotechnologies (C2N) associated with the Institut Photovoltaïque d’Ile-de-France (IPVF), in collaboration in particular with researchers at the German Fraunhofer ISE, have succeeded to trap sunlight efficiently in a solar cell thanks to an ultrathin absorbing layer made of 205 nm-thick GaAs on a nanostructured back mirror.
